What is sketcher toolbar?

 Hello Friends, welcome to “Learn mechanical design from Rahul.” 

I will explain the Sketcher toolbar in this blog.


 



The Sketcher button in the Sketcher toolbar. it is used to sketch the workbench. You can also  from the main menu bar by choosing

Ø Click on  Start

Ø Click on Mechanical Design

Ø Click on Sketcher

 After choosing the Sketcher button, select a plane or a planar face for the Sketcher workbench. The toolbars in the Sketcher workbench are discussed next.

There are four toolbars in the sketcher workbench.

  •  Profile Toolbar
  •  Constraint Toolbar
  •  Operation Toolbar
  •  Sketch tools Toolbar

  • Profile Toolbar- profile toolbar is a part of the sketcher workbench. It is used to draw the sketches like that:- profiles, rectangles, circles, splines, ellipses, lines, axis, and points by clicking. The profile toolbar is one of the most important toolbars in the sketcher workbench.

  • Constraint Toolbar- constraint toolbar is a part of the sketcher workbench. Constraint toolbars are used to apply constraints to the geometric entities and assign dimensions to a drawn sketch. It is used to give dimension to a sketch. You can make a sketch fully defined by using the tools from this toolbar. A fully defined sketch is called an Iso-constraint sketch.

  • Operation Toolbar- The operation toolbar is a part of the sketcher workbench. it is used for editing the drawn sketches.

  • Sketch tools Toolbar- The sketch Tools toolbar is a part of the sketcher workbench. It is used for setting the sketcher settings such as setting the snap, and switching between the standard and construction elements.
